Scheduling
The CMS Library Media Center (LMC) operates on an “open/flexible” scheduling concept that allows for individuals, small groups, and large groups of students to enjoy our space and resources at the same time. This open scheduling enables students to use the center on their own, with teacher permission, throughout the entire school day and allows for increased collaboration & cooperation opportunities between teachers and Mrs. Davis. She looks forward daily, to a “packed” LMC with individual students visiting to exchange books, small groups of students doing research/word-processing/project-design/skill-games, and large groups actively participating in co-taught information literacy lessons! However, without a part-time or full-time media clerk, the LMC is occasionally "closed" (students, if the doors are open, we are open! - if the doors are closed, we are still open, but you must have a teacher or parapro come with you for your entire visit).
Hours of Operation
Open flexible access for individual student use from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. school days
Open flexible access for parent and mentor use from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. school days
Open fixed access daily for student small group work, that requires major assistance from the SLMS, by previous-scheduled arrangement with the SLMS by email or planning meeting
Open flexible access daily for student small project-related group work that requires minor assistance from the SLMS
Open fixed access daily for whole classes, by previous-scheduled arrangement with the SLMS through email, planning meeting, or planning forms placed in media mailbox
Open flexible access for faculty/staff use from *7:30 a.m. – *3:30 p.m. school days (earlier and later on most school days - provided the SLMS is available and/or the Destiny circulation system is still online)
